How to stream using 'USTREAM'

If your streamer looks like this then go to the bottom where it says "Switch back to the old broadcaster" and click on that because the old broadcaster allows you to adjust the audio and video quality seperately, this means that you can get the sound spot on and turn the video quality down a bit but it will still look good.

Ideally you will want to get the settings as close to these as you can (maybe without the picture of me sitting there on my computer). First of all put a tune on with the volume fader on your mixer all the way to the top with all of the EQ knobs set to flat, and then set your Volume so that it is reaching about half way, this gives you room for when the volume increases when you have another tune playing over the top and incase you have an MC there will be no distortion which is good.

Next set your Audio Quality to almost the top (or right to the top if you really want to) just aslong as "44 kHz" shows up then things should be sounding pretty sweet.

For the Video Quality I would recommend setting it to about half way or maybe less so that the stream doesnt keep buffering for people with slower internet connections (like me). If set too high then it will look wicked but it will constantly buffer for some people, and if it is set too low then it will look like absolute crap.

The Adjust framerate part slider determines how smoothly the video will play to people watching, if the framerate is set too high then it may cause the video to buffer a lot, and if it is too low then it will be like watching a slideshow (which is no good).

I'd reccomend that you use widescreen if your camera supports it so that the video fills the whole space on the website.

'Toggle Picture Smoothing'. . . I haven't experimented with that yet so turn it on if you want to.

Make sure that you have the 'High resolution' box ticked, #1 it makes the video look better and #2 it "zooms" the camera out so we can all see more of your setup while you're mixing.
